SUMMARY: The Director, Technology, is responsible for the planning and implementation of the technology strategies that support Crowley's strategic goals and objectives. With a strong vision and deep understanding of technology trends, leadership capability, and the ability to drive innovation, the Director, Technology will be responsible for identifying and delivering top-notch technology solutions to our internal clients.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and execute the company's technology strategy in alignment with business objectives.
• Lead and manage the technology team, including software developers, IT professionals and other technical staff.
• Oversee the design, development and implementation of technology solutions.
• Ensure the security, scalability and reliability of the company's technology strategy.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Collaborate with key business stakeholders to identify and address technological needs and opportunities.
• Manage related project budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
• Establish and enforce technology policies, standards and best practices.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous learning with the team. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business or a related field; or a combination of post high school and experience equal to twelve (12) years.
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT platform development management, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience implementing and managing Salesforce solutions.
• Strong expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce Voice, Marketing Cloud and Experience Cloud.
• Proven experience managing large-scale development projects using Salesforce, including system integrations and data migrations.
• Experience with Salesforce Lightning and Visualforce development is a plus
• Familiarity with Salesforce development languages (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components).
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:
• Experience with data migration and integration tools (e.g., Mulesoft)
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Knowledge of logistics business processes is a plus

Knowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices and procedures. Knowledge of and ability to apply the concepts, principles and practices of change management.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
