Job Summary

The Senior ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) Technical Specialist is responsible for providing technical support, development, and enhancements to the Right Angle system, focusing on solutions that integrate and optimize energy trading and risk operations. This position requires expertise in ETRM system architecture, strong communication and leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of supporting and developing enterprise-grade systems. This role requires on-site work and potential after-hours support for critical business operations. The position involves collaborating with multiple teams, including business, functional, and IT groups, to ensure seamless system performance and optimal trading operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Oversight & Development: Provide technical oversight, including designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing RightAngle system customizations and integrations.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior team members on RightAngle's technical architecture and ensure knowledge transfer through effective training.
• Solution Delivery: Collaborate with functional and business teams to deliver solutions that align with business requirements and enhance system functionality.
• Documentation & Testing: Create and maintain comprehensive technical design documents and perform end-to-end testing from deal capture to settlement in RightAngle.
• Source Code Management: Manage custom source code repositories using tools such as Azure DevOps.
• System Upgrades: Complete the analysis, development, testing, and implementation of RightAngle system upgrades, patches, and custom code releases.
• Integration Capabilities: Facilitate the integration of RightAngle with other enterprise systems and platforms as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree:

• Bachelor's Degree

The minimun number of years of job related experience required by this job is:

• Minimum of 8 years of IT or applications development for commercial trading.

List any specialized training or unique skills required:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in ETRM engagements with strong emphasis on the RightAngle system.
• Demonstrated expertise in C#.NET, SQL, T-SQL, and the RightAngle.NET architecture.
• Proven track record of developing and troubleshooting customizations and enhancements using RightAngle, including complex pricing provisions, entity rules, and reporting.
• Strong familiarity with commodity trading and risk management (including crude oil, refined products, NGLs, etc.).
• Strong business understanding of the trade lifecycle for various commodities.
• Experience with physical and financial instruments such as futures, swaps, and options.
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Exposure to enterprise systems such as OpenText, SAP, or other trading-related platforms.

Job Duties

Analysis - Collaborate with process owners to analyze business processes and propose process improvements enabled by information technology.

Design and development - Based on analysis described in Part 1, develop technical designs and implement software solutions to support business process improvements. Senior Analysts may lead and/or participate in hands-on development activities including custom programming using CITGO development tools and/or package software configuration.

Project Planning - Formulate, communicate, and execute project plans, with limited supervision.

Team Leadership - Collaborate with project team members. Establish project priorities and participate in formulation of cross-functional project priorities. Provide cross functional integration among SAP and Non-SAP roles. Act as a project team spokesperson.

System Support - Anticipate and investigate production system problems/questions ascertaining root cause and corrective action needed. Design, develop, test, and implement corrective action.

Training - Plan, prepare and deliver appropriate training to end-users.

Professional Development - Develop technical skill sets, leadership skills, presentation skills, business area knowledge and independent thinking/decision making abilities on an ongoing basis. Stay abreast of technology innovation and its applicability to CITGO's business.

Gain detailed knowledge of CITGO Business processes in specific areas of responsibility including interaction(s) with other business processes.
