Shipping Utility

Starting Rate OR Range: $18.75 + 7.5% night shift premium

Work Hours: 12-hour night shift

Location: 3094 Lester Dr. Kendallville, IN

As our Shipping Utility , you will:

Performs manual duties related to the preparation and shipment of customer samples, components and finished products mailed primarily through Fed Ex, UPS, USPS

• Forklift Operation : Safely operate a forklift to load/unload materials, move products to designated areas, and prepare shipments.
• Baler Room Management : Oversee the baler room operations, including processing cardboard and other recyclable materials to create bales for disposal or recycling.
• Pallet Handling : Process, organize, and prepare pallets for shipment, ensuring proper stacking and securement.
• Verification: Inspect and verify carton counts, ensuring all items match the shipment paperwork and labels.
• Paperwork & Documentation : Ensure all shipping documentation is accurately completed, including inventory counts, packing slips, and shipping labels.
• Quality Control : Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products are properly packaged and meet company standards before shipment.
• Safety & Compliance : Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Getting consumables for manufacturing (i.e. cartons, glue, skids, taking care of recycle gaylords, etc.)
• General housekeeping of baler room and shipping area

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in shipping, warehouse, or forklift operation preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment. (i.e. pallets jacks lifts etc.) Will train if not certified
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills for collaboration with team members and other departments.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to Lift and carry up to 50 pound
• Must be able to stand for the entire duration of your shift
