Position Summary
The Miller's Smorgasbord Bartender must be friendly, outgoing, and possess good communication skills to ensure guests' enjoyment. You should be organized, able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure. Be guest sensitive and possess a sense of timing preparing drink orders for the servers with delivery to the guest. Take pride in personal appearance and show dedication to your job. Display integrity and honesty in all aspects of your employment. This position requires weekends, evenings and holiday hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Making guests feel appreciated through your actionsWorking as a team with all coworkers in order to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage serviceKeep all area cleaned and stocked to the company's standards at all timesFollows standard recipes for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beveragesGarnish beverages to standards before servingDelivers beverages to correct tables in a timely and friendly mannerWashing and sterilization of stemwareResponsibly serve alcohol and remain aware of guests' state of intoxicationCommunication with serving staffOther duties as assigned
Note: The full-time bartender position will be a rotational position to include two tipped serving shifts in a buffet restaurant and three tipped bartending shifts for a service bar.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Be of legal age to serve alcohol (18 years or older)Weekends, evenings and holidaysAbility to follow safety protocolsAbility to pass Responsible Service of Alcohol Test (RAMP) with a score of 90% or betterBasic mathematical skills and an ability to handle money and give correct changeBasic reading skillsBasic computer skillsBasic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, and be familiar with standard drink recipesExcellent communication skillsOrganizational skillsMulti-task orientedKnowledge of Companys food and beverage specificationsKnowledge of workplace safety proceduresProvide excellent service standards and gracious hosipitality
