Your Role: Operational Excellence Manager
The Operational Excellence Manager will provide coaching and leadership for the implementation of Operational Excellence (OpEx) principles at the Clinton Labs and Terre Haute sites. This role will be responsible for completing the necessary training, annual OpEx agenda (including annual cost savings plan and lean maturity assessment) engraining the concepts of OpEx philosophy into the organization, training appropriate individuals in OpEx concepts, partnering with leaders at the sites to continuously improve the OpEx culture. The OpEx role is dynamic and requires the ability to adapt quickly to new situations and challenges that are common to manufacturing.
Your Responsibilities:
Coach and instill key OpEx principles, such as Lean, Waste Reduction, and Smooth Flow Concepts across the sites
Lead the annual cost savings plan and manage OpEx goals for various departments
Conduct the OpEx/Lean training and ensure the successful completion of training requirements
Partner with leaders at all levels to develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives
Facilitate and organize the sites' annual Site Self Assessment
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience of 5+ years in manufacturing or manufacturing support
Required Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or operational excellence, with experience in coaching, problem solving, and driving change
Top 2 skills: Strong training & presentation skills, ability to coach and influence
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
Supervisor or informal leadership experience
Experience in statistical analysis and implementing digital solutions
Strong business acumen with project management experience
Leadership experience across cross-functional teams
Additional Information:
Travel: Minimal (occasionally to sites as needed)
Location: Clinton Labs and Terre Haute, IN – Monday to Friday
