ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Clean walkways and deck areas.
2. Carry garbage and linens to and from lodges.
3. Use proper care in handling and operating equipment.
4. Help maintain inventory of housekeeping items and inform lead houseman of needed supplies.
5. Assist housekeepers and other housemen to ensure that all lodging rooms and public areas will be available for guests to check in at 4:00 p.m.
6. Assist housekeepers with heavier housekeeping tasks.
7. Keep housekeeping vehicle clean at all times.
8. Assist in any bellman duties lodging may need.
9. Must adhere to safety standards by wearing protective gloves and backbrace when required.
10. Flexible working hours. Some job sharing may be required.
11. Stock closets after lunch and before going home.
12. Stocking and removing pool towels.
13. Putting linen order away.
14. Put cleaning caddies and rag bags out.
15. Pull cart and vacuums out.
16. Check vacuum bags.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:
1. Protect the safety of self, co-workers resort guests at all times.
2. Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
3. Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
4. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
5. Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
6. Drive in accordance with the law and resort policies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK SCHEDULE & COMMITMENT
Due to the always changing schedule of the housekeeping department, days off may change month to month but two days off in a row are guaranteed. There is the possibility for overtime if any employees call off. Overtime is not guaranteed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
No prior experience or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have current, valid driver's license.
