POSITION SUMMARY:
The Motion Graphic Designer/Developer is an integral part of our production team made up of producers, digital artists, cinematographers, and editors; responsible for end-to-end graphic and motion graphic elements, fully animated videos, VR, AR, MR elements, and a variety of web-based design.
This role will work closely with the Creative Director, Producers, and Learning Designers to develop engaging animations and motion graphic elements for online courses, high-end video production, and virtual production. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled motion designer with expertise in 2D and 3D animation, capable of creating original illustrations and bringing them to life. He/She should also have experience with non-linear video editing. The Motion Graphics Designer & Developer must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite at an expert level and have experience with 3D design using Blender, Unreal Engine, or similar software. A strong understanding of design and implementation in an educational setting is essential, as this position focuses on creating motion graphics for online learning experiences. This role requires strong collaboration skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate instructional concepts into engaging, visually compelling animations and motion graphic elements that enhance learner engagement and comprehension.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Motion Graphics Design/Development: End-to-end design, development, and implementation of customized motion graphic, 2D, and 3D elements to be used across a variety of video projects, online learning tools, AR and MR integrations, and virtual production projects.
Illustration and Animation: Concepts, designs and develops original illustrations and animations using industry standard tools. Storyboards and creates action scripts detailing concept and visual treatment of story and flow.
Brainstorming & Collaboration: Assists in creative conception of multimedia used in video, animations, graphics, and interactive projects. Participates in brainstorming sessions, information gathering, and technical discussions regarding new projects and initiatives, collaborating with the InEd Studios and Digital Learning Teams.
Research: Proactively researches new tools, industry trends and motion graphics or design developments to create dynamic learning content and cutting-edge products for USF and Innovative Education. Keeps the InEd Studios team knowledgeable about new technologies, motion graphics developments, and design standards. Works with management to provide continual process improvement with regards to emerging technologies.
Project Management: Maintains documentation and guidelines for processes, design standards, styles, accessibility, and workflow in collaboration with the InEd Studios and Learning Design teams. Provides support in organizing and maintaining design files within a project management system and local servers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM:
Bachelor's degree in digital media, Film Studies, Graphic Design, Design, Animation or related field and 0-4 years of related experience.
SB1310 Degree Equivalency: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.
