Carpenter II (Facilities, Planning & Engineering) (Finance)

Provides skilled craftsmanship as a journeyman carpenter in the areas of construction, maintenance, and repair of building structures.
Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Performs general carpentry work in alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings, floors, roods, stairways, partition, doors, windows, screens, scaffolding forms, wood fixtures and furniture.
2. Builds cabinets of various sizes and designs, builds tables, doors, shelves, bookcases and a wide variety of specialized laboratory articles of wood.
3. Performs skills bench work in shop, hands doors and windows, lay linoleum and tile floors.
4. Cleans, sharpens, and repairs hand and bench tools.
5. Makes estimates of time and material required for assigned tasks.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
None
Minimum Education:
High school degree or equivalent and completion of trade school.
Minimum Experience:
Five (5) years of journeyman level carpentry experience
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.

Residency Requirement:
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
