Job Description: Design, implement and test the EcoRT software system by embedding development for real-time operating systems including VxWorks and Linux. Analyze requirements and provide effort estimation for product planning. Design software for systems based on IEC-61499 using C & C++. Participate in Code Reviews and provide comments. Collaborate with other teams to remove any blockers issues. Develop features for next-generation control automation platforms. Review and provide comments on firmware code developed by other engineers. Provide technical direction and training to team members and peers. Ensure firmware development following agile and cybersecurity processes established by the company. Position eligible for up to 3 days remote work per week.
Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience in software design and development for distributed control systems or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Developing and generalizing code in embedded multi-tasked environment using C and C++ with popular design patterns to run on both Windows and Linux; Developing and using EcoRT and FORTE RT; Developing Distributed Control Systems (DCS) using control system-specific languages (IEC61499); Developing using Visual Studio and GNU tools; Debugging software and hardware systems in Windows and Linux; and Using development techniques and protocols, including ARM processors, Modbus protocol, UART, and IEC61131.
