Civil Designer (Finance)
As a Civil Designer you will work with our civil team on various development projects in the northeast region, including the challenging & rewarding projects relating to the collection and treatment of acid mine drainage, mine water, and drinking water treatment including Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS). Other projects the individual may be involved with are commercial, industrial and energy development projects. This position is available at our State College, PA office with an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
• Individual will be tasked with working with our current staff on the development of designs and plans related to:
o Design Plan Production that includes overall site layout of building locations, roads, and other site improvements.
o Site Grading & Access Road Development.
o Erosion & Sedimentation Control Design and Permitting
o Post Construction Stormwater Management Design and Permitting
o Land development design and permitting for zoning to meet federal, state, and local municipalities.
o Collaborate with staff engineers on multiple concurrent projects from planning, construction, and commissioning.
o Contribute to the evaluation and interpretation of environmental data.
o Assist senior staff in developing project documents such as work plans and reports.
o Participate in Kleinfelder's Health and Safety program.
Qualifications:
• B.S. in civil, environmental engineering, or related field.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certificate or obtain within one year of employment.
• 0-3 years of experience in civil/environmental engineering field.
• Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3-D.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.
Preferred Skills & Experiences:
• Erosion & Sedimentation Control Design Experience.
• Post Construction Stormwater Design Experience.
• Hydro flow stormwater modeling.
• Understanding of Land Development Processes.
• Understanding of Zoning Ordinance Review & Compliance.
• Familiar with GIS.
• Technical writing skills.
