Role description:
Arcadis is searching for a Project Water Engineer to support and grow our Water team in Clifton, NY. In this position you will utilize your expertise and technical knowledge to develop, lead and support projects. You will have a proven reputation with clients as a professional and dynamic engineer that communicates clearly and effectively and successfully executes projects. This is an outstanding opportunity that needs an individual with the ability to lead and partner while working collaboratively on a wide variety of projects at a variety of scales, in a 'hands-on' role with an expectation of also supporting client development activities for municipal, state, federal and private sector clients. A key component of this position is the desire to mentor and grow a dynamic and talented team of engineers in upstate NY area.
Role accountabilities:
As a Project Water Engineer you will collaborate with local teams to ensure successful project delivery, supporting water and wastewater projects through planning, design, and construction phases. Your role will involve overseeing the development of design calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications while ensuring compliance with Arcadis quality health, and safety standards. You'll prepare reports and presentations, participate in client meetings, and coordinate project timelines and budgets.
You will work independently and as part of a team fostering collaboration across the country. This role includes supervising and mentoring junior engineering and design staff, as well as providing planning and design support for stormwater management, flood mitigation, green infrastructure, sewer systems, and related needs. Additionally, you'll prepare and review design calculations and drawings, engaging with engineers from other disciplines to integrate stormwater, transportation, utility, and geotechnical concepts into projects.
You will assist in identifying cost-effective and environmentally sound stormwater solutions while promoting innovative technologies and researching emerging practices to improve efficiency in assignments. Travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, safety audits, or construction oversight based on project needs.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $124,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
