Samtan Engineering is looking for a qualified individual for the role of Sr. Quality Inspector.

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, operate equipment to produce small batches or large quantities of precision metal parts. Ensure products meet precise specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate equipment such as press, stamp, tumbler, sand blaster and other equipment as per the direction of the Operation Manager.
• Operator will be trained to operate and safety on each piece of equipment.
• Visual and Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance specifications.
• Support metalworking projects from planning and fabrication through assembly, inspection, and testing, using knowledge of machine functions, metal properties and mathematics.
• Maintain all machining work areas neat, clean, and organized to provide the most efficient use of the tools at hand.

QUALIFICATIONS, (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a true team environment.
• Must have physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
• Multi-tasked, flexible & open minded with an excellent attention to detail.
• 3 to 5-years of experience in a quality control/manufacturing environment is preferred
• Effective communication in English, verbally and written
• Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Word, and MS Excel
• Well-developed problem solving and decision-making abilities
• Attitude of collaboration and desire to develop through learning
• Experience with metals is preferred

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports directly to the Operations Manager. Works in conjunction with Production Supervisor, Procurement, Quality Assurance and Engineering to ensure total customer satisfaction.
