Description:
The Department of Management & Leadership in the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston welcomes inquiries regarding a full-time, non-tenure track, Professor of Practice position, starting Fall 2025. Responsibilities will include teaching international business at the undergraduate and graduate levels and teaching other management courses as needed. Additional responsibilities include service to the department and the college, and participation in the academic life of the department and college. Preferred candidates will have a record of teaching excellence in undergraduate and graduate classes.
Candidates with experience and expertise in online teaching who can demonstrate teaching innovativeness are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates will be expected to take a multidisciplinary approach to the courses they teach, including incorporating aspects of the global political, economic, and cultural environment of business. Candidates should demonstrate a willingness and ability to engage in departmental service. Candidates should also have a demonstrated record of academically qualified activities as defined by the AACSB.
Applicants with a doctoral degree in International Business, International Affairs, Management, International Economics or with comparable work experience with relevant skills are preferred. Multilingual candidates will be strongly considered, as will candidates who are willing to participate as faculty advisors in the college's learning abroad programs.
