*Sr. General Maintenance Specialist (Team Lead) (Maintenance)
Position requires proficiency in multiple trades: plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry. Performs a variety of duties involving routine maintenance and repair to facilities under minimal supervision in areas such as plumbing, HVAC, food services equipment, painting, carpentry, and is a lead to others performing similar duties. Performs work requiring independent judgement, planning, coordinating and prioritizing of efforts.
This position efficiently and quickly repairs appliances and structures in an ongoing effort to minimize distraction or disruption to tenants of campus communities, to include residence halls, apartments and rental properties. If they determine the appliance cannot be repaired, they coordinate replacement of units. Should there be an emergency room change required (fire, flood, other) - this position is the lead team member to coordinate relocation of items for residents. Position also serves as a lead for residence hall bed set up and room configuration. Plans, organizes, assigns, and reviews the maintenance work of unskilled and semi-skilled workers assigned to his/her team.
