DESCRIPTION
Provide support in maintaining project and facility needs of Residential & Dining Services, including on campus housing, UCC towers, special interest, and Greek housing. Tasks include set up and break down of residence hall rooms, assisting vendors, and various projects. Work crew will report to the Housing Operations Manager and the Director of Residential and Dining Services.

Purpose or role of the position within the organization:
Provide support in maintaining project and facility needs of Residential & Dining Services, including on campus housing, UCC towers, special interest, and Greek housing. Tasks include set up and break down of residence hall rooms, assisting vendors, and various projects.
Duties and responsibilities associated with the position and how they relate to the purpose or role:
· Reporting to the immediate supervisor at the beginning of each shift in order to obtain the tasks that must be completed for the day.
· Complete the various tasks as efficiently as possible and reporting progress to supervisor
· Setting up and breaking down residence hall rooms.
· Replacing old and worn furniture into residence halls from storage rooms.
· Assisting contractors and physical plant in accessing necessary rooms in residence halls.
· Maintaining order and inventory in the residence hall storage rooms.
· Upholding the highest level of integrity.
· Completing any additional tasks as necessary.
Rates of pay for the position: $15.50
General qualifications for the position and the specific qualifications for the various levels or rates of pay associated with the position:
· Stevens Institute of Technology student
· Residence Life or campus life experience or involvement preferred
· Familiarity with Student Life and Residence Life philosophy desired
· Ability to work as part of a group as well as independently to achieve area, department, and institutional goals
· Strong, positive communication skills a MUST
· Understanding of a commitment to the mission and purpose of Stevens and Residential and Dining Services.
· Ability to role model and enforce the policies of Stevens and Residential and Dining Services
· Be able to work with all students regardless of race, gender, and ethnicity tactfully and ensure they have a great residential experience.
The length of the student's employment (beginning and ending dates): 09/10/2024 – 05/31/2025
