Job Overview: This seasoned individual has expert knowledge of principles and practices within operations and an understanding of business strategies and culture and works to achieve results and drive the performance of regional teams. The CO2 Production Manager will focus on ensuring the continuous production of CO2 and maintaining the reliability of the CO2 network in the Western region. Key responsibilities include identifying, assessing, and mitigating process safety risks associated with the design, engineering, and operation of CO2 production and distribution. Additionally, the role involves defining, prioritizing, and leading ongoing technical process improvements, leveraging expertise from Linde's subject matter experts and the local team. Primary Responsibilities: - Oversee production plans and execution throughout the CO2 network to ensure reliable supply and efficient operations. - Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities across CO2 production sites. - Organize and lead localized process safety audits to identify and address potential hazards. - Collaborate with regional managers and central support teams to prioritize safety initiatives and allocate resources based on risk assessments. - Monitor and report the status of corrective actions from audits, ensuring timely implementation. - Evaluate the competency and training levels of local operations staff and plant managers, recommending improvements where needed. - Maintain accurate records of process safety performance indicators and deliverables. - Facilitate structured risk assessments to proactively mitigate operational risks. - Manage the Engineering Management of Change process to ensure compliance with regulatory codes, internal standards, and industry best practices in all new projects and modifications to assets. - Drive awareness and adoption of updated operational procedures and critical safety standards. - Lead major investigations into process safety incidents, determining root causes, implementing mitigation measures, and coordinating with regional and central safety teams. - Develop and refine Best Operating Practices (BOP) for CO2 production and distribution processes. - Establish and maintain a CO2 operator training program aligned with global standards. - Serve as LGUS West's Subject Matter Expert on CO2-related topics. - Provide strategic leadership to ensure high plant availability and consistent customer supply across LGUS West CO2 operations. - Explore and recommend best practices for operational improvements and efficiency gains. - Define, prioritize, and lead technical process enhancements in the CO2 production sector. - Manage development projects from conceptualization to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives. - Prepare executive-level performance reports, offering insights into CO2 operations. Qualifications: - Engineering degree, ideally in Chemical, or Mechanical fields. If professional qualifications are not met, relevant years of experience in a similar field will be considered. - Relevant experience in the gas or petrochemical industry.
