Your Role: Warehouse Operator
The Warehouse Operator helps to manage materials in support of production operations at the Elwood, KS manufacturing facility. This includes, but is not limited to, receiving, sampling, moving, preparing materials for use and shipping. The position is also responsible for maintaining GMP documentation, data entry into the SAP ERP system, cycle counting and helping to resolve discrepancies. It is a fast-paced role in a dynamic, biopharmaceutical environment.
Your Responsibilities:
Handles Material Flow: Receives, inspects, labels, stores, and distributes raw materials and packaging components within the warehouse, utilizing various equipment and adhering to FEFO principles. Loads and unloads materials from diverse vehicles.
Manages Inventory: Conducts cycle counting, monitors inventory levels, ensures adequate stock for production, investigates discrepancies, and maintains shipping supply stock.
Utilizes SAP: Executes data entry processes in SAP for receiving and shipping, verifying order accuracy, delivery details, and lead times.
Coordinates Shipping & Logistics: Liaises with carriers, arranges shipments, addresses shipping issues (damage, shortages, nonconformance), and provides delivery instructions.
Prioritizes Safety & Compliance: Maintains a safe and clean work environment, adheres to safety and quality standards, follows hazardous material handling procedures, and reports incidents/deviations.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills including experience with Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office products. Proficient typing ability.
Perform calculations and conversions involving weights, volumes, and percentages.
What Will Give You the Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Fork truck certification.
Experience using SAP.
Understanding of basic Good Manufacturing / Documentation Practices (GMP / GDP)
Other Information:
Must be physically able to perform job which includes sustained heavy lifting over extended periods of time.
