The Department of Pediatrics, Pediatric Hospital Medicine, University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, Tampa is seeking a full-time, Pediatric Nocturnist hospital physician. This positions will be assigned to work overnight shifts and is required to take call. The position is primarily clinical with involvement in the residency teaching program. Duties include in-house patient care based at St. Joseph Children's Hospital in Tampa, FL. There is an opportunity for participation in the quality program and other educational and hospital-based leadership opportunities with the ability to strengthen your clinical assessment without the requirement of hospital fellowship training. St. Joseph's Children's Hospital is a tertiary care, 120-bed (including PICU & PCIU) hospital located in the heart of in Tampa. The hospitalist program is staffed by approximately 5 FTE daily and cares for routine and medically complex children. A Florida medical license will be required prior to assuming the position. Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.

Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor.

Board Certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine is preferred, however, not required.
\n
Current PALS and/or NRP certification required.
\n
Must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent required. To perform this position, the candidate will need to obtain and maintain a full un-restricted FL Medical License, maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan, and be a medical staff member in good standing at the hospitals he/she is assigned to perform clinical duties.
