Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and folding machines.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens resident clothing according to specified procedures.
• Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, damages, or stains before preparing them for distribution.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning agents and supplies to promote a safe work environment.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines at all times.
• Maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for laundry facilities and equipment.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other departments to coordinate laundry needs and timelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Previous experience in a commercial laundry facility or similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in laundry operations.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment efficiently and safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning protocols.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
