MAINTENANCE MECHANIC (Maintenance)

KENT® Precision Foods Group, a member of the KENT Corporation family of companies, has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a Maintenance Mechanic - Dry Blend Manufacturing responsible for making sure all packaging equipment and machinery is running properly!
- This position is designed and intended to be performed in New Sharon, IA.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Installation, repair, and replacement of equipment in all areas of operations.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Electrical/Pneumatic/Mechanical/Machining/Plumbing/Fabricating/Welding/Grinding basic skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and basic schematics.
- Ability to safely use all shop equipment.
- Assists in maintaining accurate and organized parts inventory.
- Ability to create and complete work orders in a computer system.
- Follow safety procedures and be an example of “safety” to coworkers.
- Assist with cleanings and/or change overs of production equipment.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years in similar position or has demonstrated aptitude.
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds including above head and below the waist for 50% or more of shift.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Must be able to work at line speed with the ability to make coordinated hand and finger movements.
