We are seeking a Senior Business Development Director Energy – Remote. This remote position is based out of our Oak Ridge, TN office.

How will you contribute to the team?
Builds and manages a high-performing Business Development Team, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance.
Develops and executes a business development strategy aligned with the company's goals for revenue, margin and growth.
Manages business development activities for Tier 1 and/or Tier 2 market segment and captures new business for management, engineering, and/or field projects, to ensure continued company financial health.
Identifies new business opportunities through customer and industry contacts.
Builds successful business relationships by delivering a value proposition that is attractive to both customers and prospective business partners.
Develops, maintains and builds a strong professional network and customer relationships.
Coordinates company resources in the pursuit and capture of new work.
Develops capture plans for specific targets that address opportunities, preferred approaches, competitive analyses and business fundamentals.
Identifies teaming partners, develops teaming agreements and obtains appropriate internal support and approvals.
Negotiates teaming agreements, scopes of work, contract types and business models that are consistent with the company's risk profile and that result in favorable financial outcomes.
Gathers market and customer intelligence.
Manages Business Development budget.
Manages and supports proposal activities in winning new contracts for the company.
Coordinates with division leaders within operations functions in developing proposals.
Responsible for obtaining necessary operational and corporate approvals for all proposals prior to their submittal.
Communicates and engages company technical experts and operations personnel to develop solutions to customer challenges.
All other duties as assigned.
What will you contribute?
Bachelor's degree required in business, engineering or a relevant scientific discipline.
A minimum of 20 years of combined technical and business development/industry-related experience
A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development
A minimum of 10 years of experience with government projects or business development, in particular Department of Energy and the Department of Defense
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial nuclear industry (enrichment, fuel fabrication, conversion, new build, etc.)
Proven track record of capturing work in government contracting and/or commercial nuclear industry.
Effective Communication: Demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
Problem-Solving Expertise: Excels at analyzing complex challenges and developing innovative, actionable solutions to achieve objectives.
Advanced Presentation Skills: Skilled in crafting and delivering impactful presentations that effectively communicate value propositions and drive engagement.
Strategic Prospect Identification: Proficient in identifying and targeting prospects that align with the organization's strategic goals and adapt to dynamic market conditions.
Proven Business Development Success: Consistently achieves measurable success in capturing business opportunities and securing new contracts, contributing to organizational growth.
