Our Portland office is seeking an experienced Project Architect to become a key member of our expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and collaboration abilities, along with knowledge in K-12 educational architecture. We are looking for a motivated team player who is organized, detail-oriented, design-focused, and capable of delivering high-quality work while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Role accountabilities:
- Assists in the preparation of Architectural designs and drawings including preliminary concepts and sketches
- Assists with preliminary analysis of codes and other regulatory requirements
- Assists in the preparation of permit submission packages
- Assists with basic coordination of consultant activity
- Assists with preparation and revision of construction drawings
- Research building products for value and efficiency
- Assists with the review of working drawings prepared by in-house staff or outside consultants
- Prepares revisions to existing working drawings and other documents prepared by staff and/or outside consultants
- Administers and maintains all project files and drawings
- Assists with the preparation of presentations, graphics
- May participate in client presentations
- May participate in marketing and business development efforts
Qualifications & Experience:
Required
- Bachelor/Master of Architecture from an NCARB accredited institution
- Recent graduate, or up to 3 years' experience in an Architectural Design firm
- Strong technical competency, proficient in Revit and SketchUp
- Please include a portfolio with your application materials
Preferred
- Knowledge of Educational Architecture, specifically K-12, preferred

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $49,390 - $79,023 / year.
Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
