We are seeking experienced Scrum Masters with strong communication skills to join our fast-growing team. We're looking for team members who bring at least 3 years of practical/on the job experience as a Scrum Master guiding teams through agile-scrum practices and values. Qualified candidates must be able to communicate and collaborate with a team of highly talented technicians and interact with the client.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Conduct daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to keep the team focused and productive.
· Promote core Agile values such as collaboration and effective communication within the team, ensuring the development of working software.
· Help the team craft user stories, epics, and features that are clearly aligned with customer lifecycle and solution components, using recognized Agile formats.
· Identify and document user personas, ensuring they are accurately represented in user stories.
· Ensure the development team is upholding standards with story documentation and mentor where needed.
· Regularly update Jira to provide a transparent view of project status, allowing all stakeholders to see real-time progress.
· Keep track of burn down rates, team velocity, and other essential metrics to report on the project's health and progress.
· Serve as an Agile expert, educating and guiding team members in Agile practices and principles to enhance their proficiency and project contribution.
· Enhance cooperation among Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders to effectively manage backlogs and prioritize tasks.
· Encourage a positive work environment that promotes team bonding and motivation.
· Utilize insights from team feedback and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
· Utilize tools like JIRA to provide stakeholders with updates on sprint progress and team performance.
· Champion the adoption of new methods and continuous learning through retrospective feedback and a culture of experimentation.
· Maintain open lines of communication across all team levels to ensure everyone is aligned on the project's goals, progress, and potential risks.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
· Ability to guide and support Scrum Team adherence to Agile methodologies.
· Strong understanding of Agile processes, principles, and practices.
· Skilled in using JIRA, Agile Accelerator, Confluence, or similar for managing sprints.
· Capable of leading sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team and stakeholder management.
· Experience working in different types of Agile delivery including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
· Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Act as a coach to foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
· Effective at managing expectations and maintaining healthy stakeholder relationships.
· Able to document and report on sprint progress and other critical metrics.
· Proficient in managing changes to minimize disruptions.
· Promotes a culture of openness, honesty, and respect within the team.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:
· Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
· Experience working with Federal agencies is a plus.
· Experience with LCNC platforms like Salesforce, Pega, Appian, Box, or Microsoft Dynamics is beneficial.
EDUCATION:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
CLEARANCE:
· Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
