Sectional Warper Relief Operator (Finance)

The Sectional Warping Machine Operator will be responsible for dividing the warp beam into smaller, even sections, and warping one at a time.

Responsibilities include:

• Operate sectional warping machine.
  • Wind yarn onto drum and warp beam
  • Load yarn onto creel
  • Draw ends through lease reed and flat reed
  • Watch machine to detect any defect in the beam
  • Repair any broken yarn ends
  • Generate tickets to identify warp
  • Run all yarns (regardless of difficulty) and directional warper for section beams
• Complete task checklist at both start / end of shift and during creel check.
• Set all parameters in the computer to assure a correctly run beam.
• Assess and manage equipment on daily basis, reporting any quality problems to the supervisor.
• Provide training and guidance to other operators as directed.

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience
• Experience using allen wrench, measuring tape, pallet jack, and warp truck
• Able to run all sectional warping machines and all grades/sizes/types of yarn to expected efficiency
• Job requires heavy lifting, heavy pulling, heavy pushing, light carrying, climbing, balancing, stooping, reaching, handling, seeing (depth perception and near acuity)
• Ideal candidate will be safety focused, following all plant expectations and actively reporting any possible safety concerns.
