Matthews Marking Systems is seeking a strategic Vice President of Sales and Marketing to evolve our market share of products, solutions and services for industrial product identification with ink-based systems. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering user value and will have demonstrated the ability to grow businesses at above market growth rates by creatively driving sales productivity with direct sales, channel development, strategic account growth and effective inbound and outbound marketing. This is an ideal opportunity to get into an industrial growth segment and change the way we go to market and evolve B2B sales and marketing in the industrial space. In addition, Matthews Marking Systems has a solid mix of products, engineered solutions and recurring revenue business from ink and services to drive strong growth. The right candidate will have a customer centric mindset, always looking for ways to increase our value to the customer. The right candidate will be able to think big but work within the real constraints of business, market and technological boundaries. The leader will also have a strong commercial background and be able to work closely with sales, customers, and partners. This candidate will use data driven and sound judgement in defining and selling the portfolio as well as identifying new market opportunities. Finally, the ideal candidate will have a proven ability to execute and drive continual improvement in the products, processes and people in the organization.
The purview of this role includes the promotion, lead generation, account management of the entire portfolio of marking system products. This role will lead the analysis, definition and business cases for new market entry and growth as well as developing alternate channels and leverage digital sales to drive sales growth and productivity. They will also support new products and product enhancements, collaborate on pricing, and develop commercial programs. This role is ultimately responsible for driving the growth as efficiently as possible while expanding our markets and distribution partners. This role also has the responsibility of maximizing the recurring revenue associated with initial deployments through ink sales, services and other possible "as a service" models.

As VP of sales and marketing, you will report to the Senior Vice President and General Manager as a key member of the leadership group with an independent team to ensure cross-functional alignment. You will have the authority to build your team, establish your charter, and evolve our current approaches to executing product portfolio and development.
